1. Introduction

This privacy policy describes how the Zoory application ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when using our mobile application Zoory (the "App").

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data in accordance with this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data Provided by the User

  • Registration data: email address, first name, last name, city
  • Pet data: name, species, breed, age, gender, health records and photos
  • Documents: vaccination cards, vet reports and other uploaded files
  • Communication: messages in the AI chat

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

  • Technical data: device type, OS version, app version
  • Location data: only when actively using the vet map (with your consent)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the App's services
  • Manage your user account
  • Display relevant veterinary clinics nearby
  • Provide personalised responses in the AI chat
  • Send important notifications (calendar, reminders)
  • Analyse and improve App performance

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure Supabase servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is controlled via Row Level Security (RLS) β€” each user can only access their own data.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Data may only be shared with:

  • Supabase β€” cloud infrastructure and database provider
  • Google (Gemini AI) β€” for processing AI chat conversations (see details below)
  • Google Maps β€” for displaying the vet map

5.1 Data Shared with Google Gemini AI

The AI Advisor feature in the App uses the Google Gemini service to generate personalised responses about caring for your pet. When you use this feature, the following data is sent to Google:

  • Pet profile: name, animal type, breed, estimated age, gender, neutering status, fur type, coloring, and lifestyle
  • Chat messages: the text messages you enter in the AI chat

This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. The data is sent solely for the purpose of generating AI Advisor responses and is not used for any other purpose by our App.

Before using the AI chat for the first time, the App requests your explicit consent to share this data. The AI Advisor feature cannot be used without granting consent.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw your consent to processing

Account deletion is available directly in the App under Settings β†’ Delete Account. This action is irreversible and permanently removes all your data.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email.
